Washington Health Information Notice (RCW 70.02)
Effective date: November 2, 2026
Washington’s Uniform Health Care Information Act (RCW 70.02) protects the health care information of patients of Washington providers. This notice explains how Marty Ross MD Clinic, operated by Good Morning M!, PLLC, handles patient health care information.
Information you give us through the website or online booking before you become a patient is covered by our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
Our Notice of Privacy Practices explains in full how we use and share patient health information under federal law. This notice sets out your rights under Washington law. Where the two differ, we follow the rule that protects you more.
What we collect
When you become a patient, we create health care information: intake and history forms, visit notes, test results you share with us, medication lists, and billing records.
How we use and share it
Treatment. We use it to provide and coordinate your care, including sharing with other providers when you ask us to.
Payment. You pay the clinic directly. If you request a superbill for your insurer, we give it to you; we do not send your information to insurers without your written request.
Operations. We use it to run the clinic: scheduling, record keeping, and quality review.
Documentation. With your separate written consent, Dr. Ross may use an AI documentation assistant that records the audio of your visit to draft his notes. The recording is deleted as soon as the draft is created, and you can say no or ask him to stop at any time.
Other uses require your written authorization, except where RCW 70.02 allows disclosure without it, such as disclosures required by law.
Your rights
Access and copy. You may see and get a copy of your health care information. We respond within 15 working days. A reasonable copying fee may apply.
Amendment. You may ask us to amend information you believe is wrong.
Restrictions on disclosure. You may ask us to limit how we use or share your information; we will tell you if we cannot agree.
Accounting. You may ask for a record of certain disclosures.
Complaints. You may file a complaint with reception@martyrossmd.com. You may also complain to the Washington State Department of Health, or to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights. We will not retaliate against you for filing a complaint.
Retention
Following Washington State Medical Commission and Washington State Medical Association guidelines, we keep medical records for at least 10 years from your last visit, prescription refill, telephone contact, test or other contact with the clinic. For a patient who was a minor, we keep records until at least 21 years after the patient’s date of birth, or for the 10-year period if that ends later.
